Ron Bodkin, New Aspects of Software, United States
Ron Bodkin is the founder of New Aspects of Software, which helps enterprises leverage advanced technology to build great software. New Aspects provides consulting and training for software development with a focus on integrating Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) with open source Java, to build more adaptable software. Previously, Ron led the first implementation projects and training efforts for customers of the AspectJ group at Xerox PARC. Prior to that, Ron was a founder and the CTO of C-bridge, a consultancy that delivered enterprise applications using frameworks for Java, XML, and other Internet technologies. C-bridge grew to 900 employees and a successful IPO in December of 1999.

Andy Clement, IBM, United Kingdom

Andy Clement is a senior software developer at IBM's Laboratory at Hursley Park, a committer on the AspectJ project, and co-founder of the AJDT project. He is involved in the use of aspects in J2EE middleware and has presented and taught many AOP sessions at conferences like AOSD, EclipseCon and OOPSLA.

Allison Duck, Business Objects, Canada
Allison Duck is a software developer at Business Objects where she is starting a study group on AOP and is exploring potential business applications of AOP. She will be receiving her Bachelors degree from the University of British Columbia this May.

Rob Harrop, Interface21, United Kingdom
Rob is a Principal Consultant at Interface21 and has been a core developer of the Spring Framework since June 2004. He currently leads the JMX and AOP efforts and also the Spring Modules project, which is working to provide Spring integration for a variety of popular useful
open source tools. Rob is the author of five books, including Pro Spring, a widely acclaimed, comprehensive resource on the Spring Framework. Rob is a member of the JCP and is involved in the JSR-255 Expert Group for JMX 2.0.

Uwe Hohenstein, Siemens, Germany
Dr. Uwe Hohenstein is a principal research scientist in the Corporate Technology division within Siemens AG since 1989. His responsibility is to coach the efficient and effective use of various database technologies in modern software architectures. He was involved in several huge projects in the field of automation and telecommunication, e.g., defining database layers and improving performance. He did a lot of research in the area of database benchmarking, data migration, and federated database systems. His current research interests particularly comprise the use and applicability of Aspect-Orientation in the field of databases. He contributes to an industrial research project on Aspect Oriented Software Development.

Michael Mortensen, Hewlett-Packard, United States
Michael Mortensen is a CAD Engineer at Hewlett-Packard's Systems VLSI Lab and a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science, Colorado State University. Michael is investigating the use of AOP and aspect libraries (implemented in AspectC++) in applications that are based on object-oriented frameworks, including the OpenAccess framework sponsored by the Silicon Integration Initiative, an organization of semiconductor companies and CAD tool vendors. Michael has more than 10 years experience in VLSI CAD software development, and has also worked at Motorola and Cadence Design Systems. He is HP's primary contact for OpenAccess, and is participating in the Common Execution Environment OpenAccess working group. Michael has a BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University and a MS in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Srinivas Narayanan, Tavant Technologies, United States
Srinivas Narayanan is a Senior Architect and Head of the Technology Group at Tavant Technologies, a provider of enterprise software solutions. At Tavant, he has engineered mission critical J2EE applications for several large companies and has architected a Platform that provides a set of reusable components for Java application development. He is one of the founders of InfraRED - an AOP-based open-source performance monitoring tool. Prior to Tavant, he worked at IBM Almaden Research Center in the area of object-relational database systems. He has presented several papers on Enterprise Applications, SOA and System Integration, and Databases at leading conferences. He holds a M.S in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai, India.

Alexandre Vasseur, BEA, France
Alexandre Vasseur works as a Software Engineer at BEA Systems within the Java Runtime Product Group, focusing on Aspect Oriented Technology. He is committer on Eclipse AspectJ and co-founded AspectWerkz, a major open source AOP framework for Java that introduced the plain java aspects defined with annotations. Alexandre is a frequent speaker on Aspect-Oriented Software Development. He also works as technology evangelist on several BEA Systems products.

Dean Wampler, Aspect Research Associates, United States
Dean Wampler provides AOP, Enterprise Java, and Ruby on Rails consulting, through his company, Aspect Research Associates, often in collaboration with New Aspects of Software. He is the founder of the Contract4J open source project (http://www.contract4j.org) and he spends a lot of time thinking about the emerging techniques of Aspect-Oriented Design (http://www.aspectprogramming.com).
