The registration desk can be found in the Mandela room. To help you locate it we provide you with a floorplan and a campus plan. Both have clear indicators of where you need to go.

Registration at AOSD2008

Registration opens every day at 8am in the Mandela room. You can register for AOSD 2008 every day until 5.30pm.

Note however that on-site registration is only possible at these times:

Monday 31/3 from 08:00-12:00
Tuesday 1/4 from 08:00-11:00
Wednesday 2/4 from 08:00-11:00
Thursday 3/4 from 08:00-11:00
Friday 4/4 from 08:00-11:00

Accommodation

Reminder: AOSD is during a busy season in Brussels, so hotel space maybe limited. Visit our accommodation page to book your hotel as soon as possible!

Registration Information

Regular registration to the main conference includes:

  • Participation in the workshops on Monday 31 March and Tuesday 1 April (if workshops are attended, lunch is included)
  • participation in the conference from Wednesday 2 April till Friday 4 April included
  • welcome reception (Wednesday 2 April)
  • banquet (Thursday 3 April)
  • paper copy of the proceedings
  • lunch (3 days: Wednesday 2 April till Friday 4 April)
  • 2 coffee breaks per day
  • 10-ride public transportation ticket
  • participation in the evening social events on monday and tuesday

Student Registration to the main conference includes:

  • participation in the workshops on Monday 31 March and Tuesday 1 April (if workshops are attended, lunch is included)
  • participation in the conference from Wednesday 2 April till Friday 4 April included
  • access to the welcome reception (Wednesday 2 April)
  • lunch (3 days: Wednesday 2 April till Friday 4 April)

  • 10-ride public transportation ticket
  • participation in the evening social events on monday and tuesday

Single Day Registration to the main conference includes:

  • participation in the conference activities (workshop or technical/industry program - excluding tutorials) on a particular day
  • evening social event (except for the banquet for which a separate ticket needs to be purchased)
  • 2 coffee breaks on that day
  • lunch for that day
  • one-day public transportation ticket

Tutorial registration includes:

  • participation in the tutorial
  • tutorial notes and handouts
  • lunch and coffee breaks

Important note regarding participation in the workshop(s): Please note that individual workshops may have their own access regulations. Please check the corresponding webpages and contact the workshop organizers regarding participation if required.

Registration Desk

The conference registration desk will be open throughout the conference and there will be student volunteers and conference organizers at hand to answer any questions including payment queries and what to do in and around Brussels.

Payment methods

Payment can be made either through bank transfer in EURO (see below for account details) or via a secure online registration form, using either Visa or Master Card. Online registration for AOSD.08 is handled by Orga-Med. In case of any problems related to the online payment system please contact registration@aosd.net.

On-site registrations

While it will be possible to register on site, we do suggest that participants take advantage of the lower fee (pre-registrations) and of the convenience of registering in advance.

Cancellation Notes:

Registration cancellation on or before Friday 21st of March, 2008: 90% refund.

Registration cancellation after 21st of March, 2008: no refund possible of registration fee.

One exception to this rule: people with a single day registration to attend a particular tutorial can cancel without any cancellation fee IF that particular tutorial is cancelled (this can happen in the case that the minimum number of participants for a tutorial is not reached)

Cancellation must be in writing (by letter, fax, or e-mail) to the Conference Registration office. The date of postmark will be used when considering a refund. All refunds will be made after the conference.
