Poster Event

Important Dates
Submissions Due : Now Open! Continuous submission until March 3, 2008
Notifications: One week after your submission

The Poster Event is held in conjunction with the Workshops and Tutorials Reception on Tuesday evening. This allows you to maximize the visibility of your work and to get feedback from and mingle with conference participants and other students. Each student will be assigned a space to display his/her poster and present it to conference attendees who will circulate around the event. The posters will remain in this central room for the rest of the conference.

Note that we encourage you to attend both the Spring School and the Poster Event, since both events are related.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome all students. We encourage you to present a poster even if your work is only in the formative stages. You can even work on your poster (or any other manifestation) during the Spring School!

If you want to attend, send an email with the following information:

  1. Name
  2. Affiliation
  3. Title of your work
  4. Areas of interest and/or keywords
  5. Start date of your PhD or project
  6. A short description of your research (max 200 words)
  7. An electronic draft of your poster (e.g. on one slide or page)

For those of you who do not like to travel with your poster, you can bring the poster as a set of smaller pages that you can put together on the poster panel. If there are any candidates, we can even look into a local printing service.

We welcome combined submissions for both the Spring School and the Poster Event. Note that the first 6 items are also required for the Spring School, so they only have to be submitted once in a combined submission.

Please send your submission to the organizers, Yvonne Coady and Maja D'Hondt, at extravaganzaaosd.net.
