Overview
The International Conference on Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD) is the premier conference on software modularity that goes beyond traditional abstraction boundaries. In addition to research papers, there will be a dedicated Industry Track. The AOSD.10 Industry Track seeks contributions from industrial researchers and practitioners of software and software-intensive systems reporting on the use of aspect-orientation in industrial settings. Industry papers form an important part of the AOSD conference and provide an opportunity for industry leaders in applying AOP and AOSD to share their experiences with each other and the rest of the community. They not only bring together leaders in industrial use of AOSD, they also inform researchers about the key problems facing current users. See the Industry Track Web Sites from 2005 to 2009 for examples of Industry Track papers (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009).
Topics
AOSD.10 invites high-quality papers reporting on the use of aspect-orientation in industrial settings. Possible questions to be answered by an industrial paper include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • What kind of tools are you developing to support AOSD?
  • Do you have experience applying aspect-oriented techniques to a commercial project, product, or open source solution?
  • How did your colleagues who were unfamiliar with AOSD respond?
  • What problems did you tackle with AOSD, and what were the results?
  • What crosscutting concerns could not or hardly be solved with AOSD? What deficits came up?
  • What level of adoption has AOSD reached within your organization or among your users and customers?
  • What technical, organizational and business issues did you face? How did you overcome them?
  • What are the main challenges facing industrial adoption of AOSD?
  • What priorities do you believe the community should address?
Submission Requirements
Papers can be submitted in PDF format. Two lengths of submissions are possible: A short submission of 2-3 pages or a full submission not more than 12 pages (including bibliography and any appendices). The style must be compliant with the specification of research papers.

Please send submissions and any related questions directly to the Industry Program Chair, Uwe.Hohenstein@siemens.com. The submission deadline is Monday, October 19th, 2009, 23:59 (Samoan). The Industry Program Committee will evaluate the submissions.

Authors of accepted full papers will be asked to give a 30-minute presentation at the AOSD conference. The audience will include experts from both industry and academia.
